About the Author
Prof. K. Rathinavelu was born on 02-11-1943 for Rao Sahib. S. Kulandaivel Pillai, former Diwan of Kadavur and Idayakottai zamins and Mrs. K. Pichaiyammal. He studied in Manapparai Board High School and St. Mary’s High School, Dindigul. He finished B.Sc., M.A. in English Language and Literature in St. Joseph’s College, Trichy. He finished M. Phil at Annamalai University.
He worked in the College of Engineering, Chennai, Govt. Arts College, Karur, Periyar E. V. R. College, Trichy, Presidency College, Chennai for 9 years as Assistant Professor of English and in Arulmigu Palaniandavar College for 25 years as P. G. Professor and Head of the Department of English. He laid down office in 2001. He has written 15 books. Palaniappa Brothers has published his book “Sri Kandapuranam in a Nutshell (A Tamil Mythology)”. He has produced 10 M. Phil scholars.
